| Welcome to the new website of the Kaua‘i Watershed Alliance (KWA). This site was created as a way to educate the public on the importance of a healthy watershed and provide information about the actions being taken to help protect the source of our island's fresh water and the plants and animals that live there. |
| The KWA is the state's most recent watershed partnership, formed in April of 2003, and involves most of the major landowners within Kaua‘i’s Conservation District. The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Kaua‘i Program, was contracted by the KWA to write a watershed management plan, which was completed in April, 2005. TNC is now coordinating the implementation of the plan.
